Mexico’s Best are coming to the Los Angeles area for an Unprecedented Doubleheader that will Crown Liga Bancomer MX and Copa MX’s Ultimate Champions
MIAMI, FL – MAY 18, 2016 – Liga MX, together with Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) that includes UDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports network, today announced that Campeón de Campeones (Champion of Champions), the emblematic Mexican championship match between the winners of the two most recent Liga MX seasons, will be played in California in the second annual marquee event in the United States. SúperCopa, which will decide the ultimate Copa MX champion between the last two Mexican Cup winners, will also be played as part of the event.
The doubleheader will be played at the StubHub Center, home of the Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy, in Carson, California, on Monday, July 10 at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. PST.
Tickets for the Campeón de Campeones and SúperCopa doubleheader start at $35 and discounts are available for groups of 10 and more. Exclusive presale tickets for the event will be available beginning today, Wednesday, May 18, at 10 a.m. PT. The general public will have access to tickets beginning Friday, May 20, via www.axs.com and www.stubhubcenter.com.
In the first match of the night, Copa MX Clausura 2016 champions Chivas de Guadalajara take on Tiburones Rojos del Veracruz, the former Copa MX Clausura 2015 champion, for the SúperCopa crown.
The soccer showcase will conclude with Campeón de Campeones, the storied Mexican championship that originated in 1942. In the second edition of the title match since 2006, Apertura 2015 champions Tigres UANL and the Clausura 2016 Champion winners will face off to decide the absolute champions of Liga MX.
Liga Bancomer MX and Univision Deportes have partnered with Soccer United Marketing (SUM) for the management of the event. Additional details about the event, including media accreditation for the doubleheader, will be announced at a later date.

Lo Mejor de México Llegará al área de Los Ángeles Para Dos Partidos Consecutivos y Sin Precedente en el que se Definirán Los Campeones de Liga Bancomer MX y Copa MX
MIAMI, FL – 18 DE MAYO DE 2016 – Liga MX y Univision Deportes, la división deportiva multimedia de Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) que también incluye a UDN, la cadena número uno de deportes en español, anunciaron hoy que Campeón de Campeones, el simbólico campeonato mexicano entre los ganadores de las dos últimas temporadas de Liga MX, se jugará en California en la segunda edición del popular evento en los Estados Unidos. La SúperCopa, en la que se decidirá cuál es el campeón definitivo de Copa MX entre los dos últimos ganadores de la Copa Mejicana (Mexican Cup), también será parte del evento.
Los dos partidos se jugarán en el StubHub Center, sede del club LA Galaxy de Major League Soccer en Carson, California, el lunes, 10 de julio a las 3:00 p.m. y 6:00 p.m., hora Pacífico.
Las entradas para ver los dos partidos, Campeón de Campeones y SúperCopa, tienen un costo de $35 dólares en adelante, y hay descuentos para grupos de más de 10 personas. También se ofrecerán entradas exclusivas de preventa a partir de hoy, miércoles, 18 de mayo, a las 10 a.m. hora del Pacífico. En el primer partido de la noche, se disputarán la corona de SúperCopa los campeones de Copa MX Clausura 2016, Chivas de Guadalajara y los Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, el ex campeón de Copa MX Clausura 2015.
El evento futbolístico concluirá con Campeón de Campeones, el celebrado campeonato mexicano que se originó en 1942. En la segunda edición del partido definitivo desde 2006, los campeones de Apertura 2015, Tigres UANL, y los ganadores de Clausura 2016 se enfrentarán por el título de campeones absolutos de Liga MX.
Liga Bancomer MX y Univision Deportes se han unido con Soccer United Marketing (SUM) para la administración del evento. Se anunciarán posteriormente detalles adicionales sobre el evento, incluyendo la emisión de credenciales de prensa para los dos partidos.
