UniMás Beat Telemundo on Friday & Saturday Night Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34

For the Second Consecutive Saturday Night, UniMás’ Cine Cantinflas Film Out-Delivered Telemundo’s “Qué Noche” Among Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34

Week of November 9, 2015 to November 15, 2015

Back-to-back World Cup Qualifier matches made UniMás the No. 1 broadcast network on Friday night among young Adults 18-34 and No. 3 among Adults 18-49.

  • The first game of the night (6:50 p.m.- 9:01 p.m.), “United States vs. St. Vincent,” averaged 799,000 Viewers 2+, 407,000 Adults 18-49 and 176,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • The second game (9:01 p.m.-11:09 p.m.), “Mexico vs. El Salvador,” delivered 2.8 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 Million Adults 18-49 and 836,000 young Adults 18-34. The Mexico match was the highest-rated program on broadcast television among young Adults 18-34, 3rd highest among Adults 18-49 and 10th among Total Viewers 2+ on Friday night.

UniMás was the No. 1 Spanish-language network on Saturday night among Total Viewers 2+ and young Adults 18-34, beating Telemundo by +15% and +23%, respectively. UniMas also out-performed Telemundo to rank as the No. 2 Spanish-language network among Adults 18-49 (+14%).

  • Airing head-to-head on Saturday night, UniMás’ Cine Cantinflas “Gran Hotel” (7:00-9:02 p.m.) out-delivered the second telecast of Telemundo’s “Qué Noche” (7:00-9:00 p.m.) among Adults 18-49 (+2%) and young Adults 18-34 (+26%).
  • In addition, UniMás’ Cineplex “Rush Hour 3” (9:02-11:00 p.m.) out-performed Telemundo’s Cine Millonario “The Transporter” (9:00-11:00pm) among Total Viewers 2+ (+28%), Adults 18-49 (+24%) and young Adults 18-34 (+28%).

Compared to the prior week, UniMás reported double-digit percentage growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+56% to 987,000), Adults 18-49 (+57% to 493,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+76% to 240,000).

Versus the same week a year ago (11/10/14 – 11/16/14), UniMás also attracted significantly more Total Viewers 2+ (+100%), Adults 18-49 (+80%) and young Adults 18-34 (+89%).

UniMás, on average, delivered more viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoMax among Total Viewers 2+ (+80%), Adults 18-49 (+110%) and young Adults 18-34 (+145%).

In the current 2015/16 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2014/15 Season among Total Viewers 2+ (+13%) and Adults 18-49 (+7%) during broadcast prime.
