UniMás Beat Telemundo for the Third Consecutive Weekend

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of September 21, 2015 to September 27, 2015

UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the entire weekend, outperforming Telemundo on both nights among Adults 18-49 (+19%) and young Adults 18-34 (+23%).

  • UniMás out-delivered Telemundo on Saturday night, attracting more Total Viewers 2+ (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+28%) and young Adults 18-34 (+31%).
    • UniMás’ 9 p.m. feature film “Killer Joe,” outperformed Telemundo’s entire prime lineup including “Francisco América” and “Fútbol Estelar: Pachuca vs. Santos” among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
    • In fact, season-to-date, UniMás is the No. 2 Spanish-language network on Saturday night, averaging more Total Viewers 2+ (+21%), Adults 18-49 (+17%) and young Adults 18-34 (+8%) than Telemundo.
  • On Sunday night, UniMás was the top network pick over Telemundo among Adults 18-49 (+15%) and young Adults 18-34 (+20%), finishing the night as the No. 2 Spanish-language network.
    • UniMás kicked off the night with the Cineplex movie presentation, “Puncture Wounds.” The film attracted 820,000 Total Viewers 2+, 415,000 Adults 18-49 and 207,000 young Adults 18-34, out-delivering Telemundo’s “Sí Se Puede” in each of the aforementioned demographics.
    • Airing head-to-head at 8 p.m., UniMás’ feature film presentation “Looper” delivered more Adults 18-49 (395,000, +13%) and young Adults 18-34 (193,000, +16%) than Telemundo’s “D.C. La Biblia Continúa.”
    • At 10pm, UniMás’ new series “Niño Santo” attracted 619,000 Total Viewers 2+, 354,000 Adults 18-49 and 159,000 Adults 18-34.

Versus the same week a year ago (09/22/14 – 09/28/14), UniMás reported growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+2%), Adults 18-49 (+18%) and young Adults 18-34 (+20%) viewers.

Additionally, UniMás averaged more Adults 18-49 (+22%) and young Adults 18-34 (+29%) viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoFox.
