UniMás Outperformed Telemundo’s Sunday Original Programming and Saturday Primetime Lineup Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34 for the Second Consecutive Weekend

Airing Head-to-Head, the Premiere of UniMás’ Sunday Night Series “Niño Santo” Delivered More than Double the Adults 18-49 Than Telemundo’s “Francisco, el Jesuita”

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of September 14, 2015 to September 20, 2015

UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the entire weekend, outperforming Telemundo on both nights among Total Viewers 2+ (+60%), Adults 18-49 (+83%) and more than double the young Adults 18-34 (+104%).

  • UniMás significantly out-delivered Telemundo on Saturday night, attracting more than double the Total Viewers 2+ (+121%), Adults 18-49 (+115%) and more than tripling the young Adults 18-34 (+217%).
    • UniMás’ entire line-up consisting of back-to-back films, “¡A Volar Joven!” and “Snakes on a Plane,” outperformed Telemundo’s prime telecasts of “Cine Millonario: ‘The Thing’” and “Fútbol Estelar: Leon vs. Tijuana” among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
    • In fact, season-to-date, UniMás is the No. 2 Spanish-language network on Saturday nights, averaging more Total Viewers 2+ (+21%), Adults 18-49 (+17%) and young Adults 18-34 (+9%) than Telemundo.
  • On Sunday night, UniMás was the top network pick over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+36%), Adults 18-49 (+67%) and young Adults 18-34 (+64%), finishing the night as the No. 2 Spanish-language network.
    • UniMás kicked off the night with a live Liga Mexicana soccer match featuring “Guadalajara vs Queretaro.” The match attracted 835,000 Total Viewers 2+, 464,000 Adults 18-49 and 195,000 young Adults 18-34, out-delivering Telemundo’s “Sí Se Puede” in each of the aforementioned demographics.
    • Airing head-to-head at 8 p.m., UniMás’ feature film presentation “Quantum of Solace” delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (803,000, +10%), Adults 18-49 (400,000, +31%) and young Adults 18-34 (132,000, +31%) than Telemundo’s “D.C. La Biblia Continúa.”
    • At 10 p.m., UniMás premiered its new series “Niño Santo” and attracted 756,000 Total Viewers 2+, 369,000 Adults 18-49 and 143,000 Adults 18-34.  Head-to-head in the 10-11 p.m. hour, the premiere of “Niño Santo” delivered significantly more viewers than Telemundo’s second airing of “Francisco, el Jesuita” across key demographics, including Total Viewers 2+ (+66%), Adults 18-49 (+111%) and young Adults 18-34 (+99%).

Additionally, UniMás averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+28%), Adults 18-49 (+59%) and young Adults 18-34 (+48%) viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoFox.
