Univision is preparing to reach the Latin community across the country via TV screens and social media with the Premios TvyNovelas gala to say goodbye to Sabado Gigante, the oldest and most watched soap on US Hispanic TV.
Premios TvyNovelas will air on the Univision Network on Sunday 26 April when the biggest stars of entertainment and soap opera will gather to compete for the 2015 Spanish-language television awards.
Univision has several shows fighting for the award for the best entertainment programme, including Sábado Gigante – which, it was recently announced, will stop broadcasting after 53 years – Despierta América, El Gordo y la Flaca, Sal y Pimienta and Nuestra Belleza Latina.
The evening’s entertainment will be in the hands of top stars Alejandra Guzmán, David Bisbal, Maite Perroni and Cristian Castro.
The judges for the evening will be Univision’s morning show co-host Karla Martínez, along with a group of Televisa telenovelas producers, directors and reporters including Gabriela Itzel Sánchez Martínez, Roberto Hernández and Claudia de Icaza.
In addition to Univision Network’s telecast, viewers will be able to access exclusive content and behind the scenes action on Univision.com and can join the social conversation on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
