Univision stations in Texas are beefing up their programming schedules with a new two-hour morning show.
“Noticias Texas Primera Edición,” based in Houston, will air across Univision stations in Dallas (KUVN), Houston (KXLN), San Antonio (KWEX), and Austin (KAKW).
The newscast, anchored by Karina Yapor and Rodolfo Sanchez, will air weekdays from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. Yapor and Sanchez are currently Univision anchors in Dallas. The newcast will feature reporters based in Austin, Fort Worth and San Antonio.
“We are committed to bringing our audiences the best news, entertainment and information,” Univision Local Media president Kevin Cuddihy said. “The launch of ‘Noticias Texas Primera Edición’ allows us to deliver in that regard. Our audiences in this region will be connected to the best content from across the state of Texas, delivered by the familiar faces that they’ve come to trust.”
“Noticias Texas Primera Edición” debuts April 6.
