Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of December 3, 2018 to December 9, 2018

For the entire week, Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network in primetime, regardless of language, out-performing The CW for the eleventh consecutive week since the start of the 2018/2019 season, averaging 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 616,000 Adults 18-49 and 251,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.

Univision also ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime, out-performing Telemundo by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+29% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+35% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+27% adv.). This marked the sixth consecutive week that Univision occupied the top-ranked Spanish-language network position with Total Viewers 2+ and second consecutive week with both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Propelled by its weeknight primetime novelas/series and Thursday night’s “Liga MX” semi-final between UNAM and America, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+26% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+28% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+25% adv.).

On Saturday night, the airing of the “Liga MX” semi-finals between Cruz Azul and Monterrey, made Univision the No. 3 Broadcast network ranking ahead of ABC and NBC among Adults 18-34. The soccer match delivered double-digit audience growth to the network’s 7:30pm to 10pm time slot than the previous Saturday among Total Viewers 2+ (+47% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+47% to 636,000), and Adults 18-34 (+64% to 265,000). The match also propelled Univision to finish as the No. 1 Spanish-Language network, out-delivering Telemundo by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+31% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+27% adv.) as well as +3% advantage with Adults 18-34 for the entire night

Sunday night’s “Liga MX” semi-final match between America and UNAM captured 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 897,000 Adults 18-49, and 396,000 Adults 18-34, making it the second highest-rated “Liga MX” match this season on any network.

The 10pm telecast of “Crónicas” on Sunday night averaged 934,000 Total Viewers 2+, 470,000 Adults 18-49 and 213,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-Language network in the hour, out-performing Telemundo’s one-hour series finale of “Don Francisco Te Invita” among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+53% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+51% adv.).
