Fútbol Doubleheader Kicks Univision Ahead of Broadcast Competition Friday Night with No. 1 Ranking Among Adults 18-34, Besting ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW and Telemundo

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of September 3, 2018 to September 9, 2018

Univision captured the No. 1 broadcast network ranking, ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CW for the entirety of Friday night among Adults 18-34 with special live soccer coverage. The first soccer match of the night between USA and Brazil, drew in 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 677,0000 Adults 18-49 and 329,000 Adults 18-34. The follow-up match, featuring Mexico vs. Uruguay, built upon its lead-in audience by +34% with 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+ and doubled the network’s audience levels during the 10:00pm to 12:00am time slot from the comparable Friday last year. Mexico-Uruguay was the top-rated program on all of broadcast television Friday night among both Adults 18-49 (1.0 million) and Adults 18-34 (461,000). The sports event also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television for the entire night with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+24% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+26% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+39% adv.).

Last week, Univision finished ahead of CW during primetime with double-digit week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+12% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+18% to 533,000) and Adults 18-34 (+23% to 222,000).

Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime for the second consecutive week, out-delivering Telemundo by +6% among Total Viewers 2+.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on four out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.

“El Rico y Lázaro”, airing weeknights at 8pm, increased its audience from the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+3% to 600,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 248,000) and positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the time period, besting Telemundo by +29% among Total Viewers 2+ and +3% with both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

“Rosa De Guadalupe” (three-hour Saturday night airing) delivered an average audience of 935,000 Total Viewers 2+, 395,000 Adults 18-49 and 173,000 Adults 18-34 and made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night with double-digit audience advantages of +13% over Telemundo in the key 18 to 49 demographic. The dramatic series also averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+12%), Adults 18-49 (+19%) and Adults 18-34 (+45%) compared to its previous Saturday primetime airing.

Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network for all of Sunday night, with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+45% adv.)., Adults 18-49 (+25% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+10% adv.).
