Univision Delivers Week-Over-Week Audience Growth During Primetime Across All Key Demos

For The Sixth Consecutive Week, Univision Out-Delivered One or More English-Language Broadcast Networks on Six of Seven Nights among Adults 18-34

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of July 16, 2018 to July 22, 2018

Last week, Univision delivered week-over-week audience growth in primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (+8%), Adults 18-49 (+8%) and Adults 18-34 (+18%).

Univision also finished ahead of CW during primetime for the entire week with 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 457,000 Adults 18-49 and 191,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights for the sixth consecutive week among Adults 18-34.

Averaging over half-a-million Adult 18-49 (544,000) viewers, Univision’s “El Rico y Lazaro” outperformed first-run episodes of such English-language dramas as ABC’s “Take Two;” CBS’ “Elementary” and “Salvation;” NBC’s “Reverie;” FOX’s “Ghosted;” and CW’s ““The Hundred,” “The Originals” and “The Outpost.” The epic series also positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the weeknight 8pm hour with double-digit audience advantages of +48% over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+.

Univision’s weeknight dramatic series, “El Rico y Lazaro” (216,000), “La Bella y Las Bestias” (177,000) and “El Chapo” (182,000) also attracted more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Take Two” and “Quantico;” CBS’ “Elementary” and “Salvation;” NBC’s “Reverie” and “Shades of Blue;” FOX’s “One Strange Rock;” as well as CW’s entire original primetime line-up consisting of “Girl Got Game,” “Masters of Illusion,” “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” “The Hundred,” “The Originals,” “The Outpost” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway.”

On Saturday night, Univision’s live coverage of “Liga MX” featuring the two soccer matches of Pachuca versus Monterrey and Tigres UANL versus Leon, delivered an average audience of 374,000 Total Viewers 2+, 161,000 Adults 18-49 and 60,000 Adults 18-34. Airing from 9:58pm to 12:00am, the match between Tigres UANL and Leon increased its audience by double-digit margins in the last hour compared to the first hour among both Adults 18-49 (+18%) and Adults 18-34 (+31%).

With its live broadcast of “Premios Juventud 2018,” Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking on Sunday night with double-to-triple-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+56% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+61% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+104% adv.). “Premios Juventud 2018” drew in 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 666,000 Adults 18-49 and 338,000 Adults 18-34, making it the third most-watched program on broadcast television on this night with the young Adult 18-34 demographic.

Univision is set to finish the July 2018 Sweeps among the top-rated broadcast networks in primetime, out-delivering the CW by +43% among Total Viewers 2+, +85% among Adults 18-49 and +92% among Adults 18-34.
