MIAMI – FEBRUARY 22, 2019 – The day has arrived for “Venezuela Live Aid,” the highly awaited international Latin music mega-concert aimed at raising funds for humanitarian aid to Venezuela—and Univision News is on the ground in Cúcuta, Colombia, bringing Hispanic America every detail, development, and performance from the historic event.

The “Venezuela Live Aid” event was organized by British entrepreneur Richard Branson and rapidly embraced by dozens of Latin music stars who volunteered to perform pro bono. The lineup includes internationally famous artists such as Swedish DJ Alesso, Alejandro Sanz, Carlos Vives, Fonseca, Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra, Luis Fonsi, Maluma, Maná, Miguel Bosé, Nacho, Paulina Rubio, Reik, Ricardo Montaner, and many others. The concert, which is free to the public, is expected to draw a crowd of approximately 250,000 people and aims to raise $100 million for humanitarian aid to Venezuela, in addition to bringing global attention to the economic and political crisis that has devastated the formerly prosperous South American country under the regime of Nicolás Maduro.
