Univision Contigo to Launch a Multi-City Donation Caravan, backed by N+ Univision, Traveling Coast-to-Coast from Los Angeles to Miami
To Date, Univision Foundation has Raised Over $154,100, Aiding the Global Empowerment Mission in Delivery of Collected Goods
MIAMI – July 2, 2026 – TelevisaUnivision today announced a companywide relief campaign, bringing community organizations, corporate partners, local markets and audiences together in support of the ongoing relief efforts for those impacted by the Venezuela earthquake.
Connecting the solidarity of Hispanic America, Univision Contigo, the company’s social impact platform, will launch a multi-city donation caravan on July 6, beginning in Los Angeles, and making stops in Phoenix, Houston and Atlanta before concluding in Miami. At each stop, community members and organizations will have the opportunity to donate essential relief supplies, including non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, first aid supplies, and other urgently needed items.
Once the caravan reaches Miami, all donations will be delivered to Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), which will coordinate the shipment of humanitarian aid to Venezuela in collaboration with logistics partners.
“Our communities have always demonstrated extraordinary generosity in times of need,” said Claudia Prado, Vice President of Social Impact Programs & Partnerships at TelevisaUnivision. “In an emergency, compassion is never in short supply, and TelevisaUnivision is committed to an action plan that delivers hope and critical supplies to those impacted by this tragedy.”
In addition, Univision Foundation has raised over $154,100 to date, aiding GEM in the logistics and delivery of goods collected throughout the week, and community-based organizations with boots on the ground for recovery efforts following the emergency. The Foundation’s 24-hour Crisis Text Line is also offering access to immediate support from trained crisis counselors via text message and WhatsApp.
N+ Univision, the most trusted source of news for U.S. Hispanics, was the first U.S. Spanish-language news division to report from the ground in Venezuela and has since dedicated six special hour-long reports to the crisis. A dedicated digital hub is live on N+ Univision’s website, sharing news and updates, with ViX airing special reporting on the crisis and relief efforts. All specials are available on the N+ Univision’s YouTube channel. Across broadcast, digital and streaming, N+ Univision is committed to sharing around-the-clock reporting to keep viewers informed during critical moments impacting the community.
