Univision’s “Pequeños Gigantes” Out-Delivered the Premiere of Telemundo’s “Luis Miguel, La Serie” by Double to Triple-Digit Margins Across All Key Demographics on Sunday Night

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of April 16, 2018 to April 22, 2018

Univision’s two-hour broadcast of the penultimate episode of the third installment of its children talent competition series, “Pequeños Gigantes,” on Sunday night:

Last week, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime, outperforming Telemundo by double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+45% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+22% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+24% adv.), marking the twenty-fourth consecutive week in the current 2017/2018 season that it occupied the top-ranked Spanish-language network position in the key 18 to 49 demographic.

Univision also finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network for the entire week in primetime, ahead of CW with 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 626,000 Adults 18-49 and 258,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.

Univision’s “El Rico y Lázaro” averaged 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+7% to 681,000) and Adults 18-34 (+14% to 283,000). The series also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the weeknight 8pm hour, surpassing its closest competitor by +83% among Total Viewers 2+, +52% among Adults 18-49, +44% among Adults 18-34.

Airing weeknights at 9pm, Univision’s “Papá a Toda Madre” delivered 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 682,000 Adults 18-49 and 279,000 Adults 18-34.  The series also averaged more Adult 18-34 viewers than the first-run episodes of ABC’s “The Crossing,” “Deception,” “Designated Survivor,” “For The People,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Once Upon a Time;” CBS’ “Instinct,” “Living Biblically,” “MacGyver,” “Madam Secretary,” “Man with a Plan,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Ransom” and “Scorpion;” NBC’s “Blindspot,” “Champions” and “Timeless;” FOX’s “LA to Vegas,” “Lucifer” and “New Girl;” as well as CW’s “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Dynasty,” “iZombie,” “Jane The Virgin,” “Riverdale,” “The Originals,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”

Univision’s “Por Amar Sin Ley” attracted 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+ and increased its audience from the prior week among Adults 18-49 (+4% to 645,000) and Adults 18-34 (+5% to 253,000). It also drew in more 18 to 49 and 18 to 34 viewers than the original airings of such English-language dramas as ABC’s “Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Once Upon a Time;” CBS’ “Ransom;” NBC’s “Champion” and CW’s “Arrow,” “Dynasty,” “iZombie,” “Jane the Virgin,” “Riverdale,” “Supernatural” and “The Originals.”

For the second consecutive Saturday, Univision captured the No. 3 broadcast network ranking for the entire night, out-delivering ABC and CBS among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. The three-hour airing of “Rosa de Guadalupe” delivered an average audience of 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 472,000 Adults 18-49 and 206,000 Adults 18-34 while also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language TV with double-digit audience advantages of +67% over Telemundo in the key 18 to 49 demographic.
