Univision Aired the No. 1 Spanish-Language Series in Every Weeknight Hour Among Total Viewers 2+
Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of February 5, 2018 to February 11, 2018
This past week Univision held the No. 1 Spanish-language network position, with double-digit advantages over its closest competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+40%), Adults 18-49 (+25%) and Adults 18-34 (+40%).
- This marked the 14th consecutive week out-delivering its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 as well as the 13th consecutive week with Adults 18-34.
- In the current 2017-18 Season-to-date Univision reigns No. 1, beating its closest Spanish-language competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+20%), Adults 18-49 (+7%) and Adults 18-34 (+7%).
Growing its week-to-week audience by double-digit margins, Univision was the No. 5 broadcast network, regardless of language, among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+11% to 670,000) and Adults 18-34 (+15% to 292,000).
Univision’s entire weeknight lineup grew its audience in every hour among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision aired the No. 1 Spanish-language series in every hour among Total Viewers 2+.
- The 8pm epic drama “El Rico y Lázaro” sustained its rank as the No. 1 Spanish-language program in its hour among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34. “El Rico y Lázaro” helped Univision significantly out-deliver its closest Spanish-language competitor in the hour with double-digit advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+89%), Adults 18-49 (+58%) and Adults 18-34 (+116%).
- “El Rico y Lázaro” grew its week-to-week audience, attracting 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+ (+3%), 716,000 Adults 18-49 and 309,000 Adults 18-34 (+6%).
- Univision’s 9pm series “Papá a Toda Madre” helped secure Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the hour, outperforming its closest Spanish-language competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+47%), Adults 18-49 (+43%) and Adults 18-34 (+74%).
- “Papá a Toda Madre” also grew its week-to-week audience with 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+ (+1%), 749,000 Adults 18-49 (+1%) and 349,000 Adults 18-34 (+4%).
- Univision’s 10pm series “Caer en Tentación” helped Univision rank as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% adv.). “Caer en Tentación” strengthened its delivery by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+11% to 1.4 million), Adults 18-49 (+10% to 618,000) and Adults 18-34 (+11% to 255,000) versus its prior week average.
Univision was the No. 3 network among Adults 18-34 on Friday night, beating FOX (+19%) and ABC (+73%). This marks the third consecutive Friday that Univision beat ABC with Adults 18-34.
- On Saturday night, Univision’s “Sábado Futbolero” lineup made it the No. 3 network with both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, besting CBS and FOX in both demographics.
- Univision averaged more than double the Adults 18-49 viewers of FOX (+142%) and more than triple the Adults 18-34 (+208%) on Saturday night.
- Among Adults 18-34, Univision out-delivered CBS for the fourth consecutive Saturday night, attracting more than double the Adults 18-34 viewers (+174%).
- Univision’s back-to-back soccer lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for the night with both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 (#3 and #4.)
