Out-Delivers Spanish-Language Broadcast of FIFA Confederations Cup by Over 20%

UDN Ranks No. 2 Sports Network July To-Date in Primetime Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49, No. 4 Season-To-Date Among Adults 18-49, Regardless of Language

NEW YORK – JULY 19, 2017 – The 2017 Gold Cup Group Stage is over and Univision Deportes is winning across the scoreboard. Broadcast of the 14th edition CONCACAF Gold Cup Group Stage on the networks of Univision reached 19.9 million Total Viewers 2+ and 9.1 million Adults 18-49. Gold Cup on Univision Deportes has out-delivered the Spanish-language broadcast of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup by +19% with Total Viewers 2+ and +21% with Adults 18-49.

Presentation of the Group Stage matches positioned UDN as the No. 2 sports network in primetime for July to-date among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49. Through the first 15 Gold Cup matches, UCI averaged 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+ and 631,000 Adults 18-49. Additionally, UDN ended the first half of 2017 as the No. 4 sports network in primetime among Adults 18-49, ahead of FS1, NFL Network, MLB Network, and NBA TV.

The first 2017 Gold Cup Quarterfinal match begins today as Costa Rica faces Panama starting with a special presentation of “Fútbol Central” at 5:00 p.m. ET on UniMás with a simulcast on UDN, followed by an encounter between USA and El Salvador at 8:30 p.m. ET on Univision with a simulcast on UDN. The second Quarterfinal doubleheader kicks off on Thursday, July 20 with “Fútbol Central” at 6:30 p.m. ET followed by Jamaica taking on Canada on UniMás with a simulcast on UDN. Finishing up the night, Mexico will square off against Honduras beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET on Univision with a simulcast on UDN.

The 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup finale will be played on Wednesday, July 26 with full coverage on “Fútbol Central” beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET from Levi’s Stadium and broadcast live on Univision with simulcast on UDN.
