Themed to “Apostando por el Futuro” (Betting on the Future), more than 50 performers and presenters shared the stage to celebrate fans’ favorite music, stars and young Latinos making an impact in their communities
MIAMI, FL – JULY 6, 2017 – Winners of “Premios Juventud” (PJ 2017, Youth Awards) were announced tonight during a star-filled three-hour live broadcast on the Univision Network featuring the music and artists that young audiences love the most, from urban to regional Mexican to pop. Under the theme, “Apostando por el Futuro” (Betting on the Future), the 14th edition of the summer music celebration also focused on social causes that directly affect Latino communities by recognizing young Latinos who have become “Agentes de Cambio” (Agents of Change) for a better world. And, for the first time ever, PJ 2017 was linked in solidarity with the Global Citizen Festival in Hamburg, Germany, via a special performance by Shakira with Coldplay from that venue.
Urban music artist Maluma and Marc Anthony, performing for the first time together, opened the show with a dazzling salsa rendition of Maluma’s “Felices los 4.” The action got hotter as more than 50 performers and presenters graced the PJ 2017 stage in an explosion of color and sound.
Hosted by Alejandra Espinoza, Danilo Carrera, Jesse & Joy, Chyno Miranda, and Leslie Grace, PJ 2017 offered something for every musical taste, including a red carpet pre-show.
Fans voted online to select the winners in 10 categories. Two special awards were given to fan favorite Enrique Iglesias (Idolo de la Juventud/Youth Idol) and Maluma (Premio Supersónico/Supersonic Award).

Más de 50 artistas y presentadores compartieron el escenario para celebrar la música y las estrellas favoritas de los fans, y a jóvenes latinos que laboran en pro de sus comunidades, con el tema “Apostando por el futuro”
MIAMI, FL – 6 DE JULIO DE 2017 – Los ganadores de “Premios Juventud” (PJ 2017) se anunciaron esta noche en una trasmisión estelar en vivo de tres horas de duración por la Cadena Univision, con los artistas y la música predilecta de los jóvenes, desde la urbana hasta la regional mexicana y pop. Con el tema “Apostando por el futuro”, la 14a edición de la celebración veraniega de la música también se enfocó en causas sociales que tienen un impacto directo en las comunidades latinas, al otorgar reconocimiento a jóvenes latinos que se han convertido en “Agentes de cambio” para lograr un mundo mejor. Y por primera vez, PJ 2017 se solidarizó con el Global Citizen Festival en Hamburgo, Alemania, por medio de una presentación especial de Shakira con Coldplay desde allí.
El artista de música urbana Maluma y Marc Anthony se presentaron juntos por primera vez para dar inicio al programa con una impresionante interpretación salsera de “Felices los 4” de Maluma. Todo se puso más candente cuando más de 50 artistas y presentadores engalanaron el escenario de PJ 2017 con una explosión de color y sonido.
PJ 2017, conducido por Alejandra Espinoza, Danilo Carrera, Jesse & Joy, Chyno Miranda y Leslie Grace, ofreció algo para todos los gustos musicales, además de un programa de antesala desde la alfombra roja.
Los fans votaron por internet para seleccionar a los ganadores en 10 categorías. También se otorgaron premios especiales a los favoritos de los fans a Enrique Iglesias (Ídolo de la Juventud) y a Maluma (Premio Supersónico).
