On Sunday, the Nuestra Belleza Latina Finale Helped Univision to Rank No. 3 Among Young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49
Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 16, 2016 to May 22, 2016
- May Sweeps to-date, Univision ranks as the No. 5 broadcast network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.
- On Sunday, Univision ranked as the No. 3 broadcast network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming CBS and NBC in both demographics.
- Airing 7-8pm, “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) averaged 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 561,000 Adults 18-49 and 222,000 young Adults 18-34.
- Airing 8-10:03pm, the season finale of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) averaged 2.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 and 586,000 young Adults 18-34.
- The show consistently increased its audience in every half hour during its entire two-hour broadcast with strong double-digit audience growth in the last half hour compared to the first half hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+56%), Adults 18-49 (+77%) and young Adults 18-34 (+87%).
- Also, it was the fifth most-watched program on broadcast television with more young Adult 18-34 and Adult 18-49 viewers than the entire original line-up on CBS (“60 Minutes” and “Undercover Boss”), first-run episodes of NBC’s “Dateline” and The Carmichael Show” as well as the season finales of FOX’s “Bordertown” and “Bob’s Burgers” and NBC’s “Crowded.”
- Next, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 2.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 million Adults 18-49 and 514,000 young Adults 18-34.
- Last week (M-SU), Univision ranked as the No. 5 broadcast network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Also, Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five nights among young Adults 18-34.
- On Wednesday, airing 9-11:30pm, the Liga Mx Semifinal match between América and Monterrey averaged 2.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 and 586,000 young Adults 18-34.
- Airing M-F 8pm, “Un Camino Hacia el Destino” (A Path to Destiny) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+11% to 813,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+4% to 375,000).
- Next, “Yago” averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 739,000 Adults 18-49 and 341,000 young Adults 18-34.
- At 10pm, the final week “El Hotel de los Secretos” (The Hotel of Secrets) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 2.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+7% to 929,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+7% to 387,000).
- On Saturday…
- At 8pm, “Rosa de Guadalupe” averaged 941,000 Total Viewers 2+, 447,000 Adults 18-49 and 258,000 young Adults 18-34.
- Airing 9-10pm, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 973,000 Total Viewers 2+, 373,000 Adults 18-49 and 173,000 young Adults 18-34.
- Next, “Crónicas de Sábado” averaged 997,000 Total Viewers 2+, 395,000 Adults 18-49 and 167,000 young Adults 18-34.
- Univision’s entire prime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for the night with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
