UniMás Beat Telemundo for the Third Consecutive Saturday Night with Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34
UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 16, 2016 to May 22, 2016
- May Sweeps to-date, UniMás increased its Total Viewers 2+ (+27%), Adults 18-49 (+22%) and Adults 18-34 (+24%) audience over the prior sweeps while Telemundo reported double digit percentage declines among Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
- UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the third consecutive Saturday night, beating Telemundo with Total Viewers 2+ (+32%), Adults 18-49 (+69%) and more than double the young Adults 18-34 (+113%).
- Season-to-date, UniMás ranks as the No. 2 Spanish-language network on Saturday nights with Total Viewers 2+ (+6%), Adults 18-49 (+16%) and young Adults 18-34 (+18%). Furthermore, thus far in 2nd quarter, UniMás has out-ranked Telemundo on 7 out of 8 Saturday nights.
- UniMás kicked off the night with a Cine Cantinflas movie presentation of “El Bolero de Raquel,” attracting 703,000 Total Viewers 2+, 317,000 Adults 18-49 and 150,000 young Adults 18-34.
- The 9pm feature film “The Watch” delivered 661,000 Total Viewers 2+, 346,000 Adults 18-49 and 163,000 young Adults 18-34.
- In fact, UniMás’ back-to-back movie lineup out-delivered Telemundo’s entire primetime lineup including “Qué Noche” and “Cine Millonario” with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
- In the current 2015/16 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2014/15 Season among Total Viewers 2+ (+21%), Adults 18-49 (+13%) and young Adults 18-34 (+13%) during broadcast prime.
- On Sunday night, the grand finale of “La Viuda Negra II” averaged 892,000 Total Viewers 2+, 497,000 Adults 18-49 and 204,000 young Adults 18-34.
- During the 10:00pm hour, UniMás beat Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%), Adults 18-49 (+1%) and young Adults 18-34 (+7%).
- Compared to the series finale of its predecessor, “Ruta 35” (02/26/16, Fri. 10-11pm), “La Viuda Negra II” registered significantly more viewers across key demographics including, Total Viewers 2+ (+74%), Adults 18-49 (+73%) and young Adults 18-34 (+32%).
- Compared to the previous Sunday series finale, “Lady, la Vendedora de Rosas” (05/15/16, Sun. 9-11pm), “La Viuda Negra II’s” finale delivered +9% more Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
- Versus the same week a year ago (05/18/15 – 05/24/15), UniMás attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+49%), Adults 18-49 (+48%) and young Adults 18-34 (+67%).
- UniMás, on average, delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+30%), Adults 18-49 (+63%) and young Adults 18-34 (+72%) viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoMax.
