Univision’s LA Station Beat All Early and Late Local Newscasts by Every ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS Affiliate in the Country
LOS ANGELES – OCTOBER 1, 2015 – Univision Communications, Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, today announced that KMEX Univision 34, its owned-and-operated television station serving the Los Angeles, CA market, ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in both early and late local newscasts, regardless of language, among Adults 18-49 – outperforming all evening local newscast by affiliates of ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS in Los Angeles and every other market across the country for the third consecutive month.

KMEX Univision 34 highlights for the month of September 2015 include:
- KMEX’s Noticias 34 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. both ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in their respective local news time periods, beating out the early and late local newscasts by affiliates of ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS. This is the third month in a row that both of KMEX’s newscasts have reached this milestone.²
- KMEX’s Noticias 34 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. both increased their average audience by +20% compared to September 2014.
- KMEX Univision 34 Los Angeles achieved higher primetime ratings than all other broadcast stations, including major English-language network affiliates KABC-ABC, KNBC-NBC, KTTV-FOX and KCBS-CBS among Adults 18-49. KMEX Univision 34 averaged 138, 000 viewers, significantly ahead of No.2 station, KNBC-NBC, which averaged 114,000 viewers.
- KMEX Univision 34 averaged 65,000 Adults 18-49 for total day viewers and was the most watched broadcast station in the Los Angeles DMA, regardless of language.
