Mexico vs. Jamaica Match Posts Best Gold Cup Finals Ratings Since 2011, Ranking as the No. 1 Station Among Adults 18-49 & 18-34 in LA, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco & Phoenix
Final Gold Cup Match was the No. 1 Program in the Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings (NTTR) Daily Top Five Sports Events list on day of airing
NEW YORK – JULY 27, 2015 – Univision Deportes, the sports division of Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, delivered record ratings for the Gold Cup final between Mexico and Jamaica on Sunday night.
On Univision, simulcast on UDN, the Mexico vs. Jamaica match aired Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET, averaging 6.0 million Total Viewers 2+ and 3.5 million Adults 18-49.
- Viewership increased +148% among Total Viewers 2+ and +164% among Adults 18-49 compared with the 2013 Gold Cup final match between USA and Panamá on Univision.
- This was the most-viewed match of the 2015 Gold Cup tournament on any network regardless of language.
- This was largest audience for a Mexico National Team match since the June 29, 2014, World Cup match between Mexico and the Netherlands on Univision.
Univision Deportes reached 31.7 million Total Viewers 2+ with 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup coverage via television and digital. Univision Deportes live streaming provided 6% lift to TV viewership.
The 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament averaged 2.0 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.1 million Adults 18-49 per match on Univision Deportes, out-delivering its coverage of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup by +40% among Total Viewers 2+ and by +42% among Adults 18-49.
- Univision Deportes aired the top 9 most-viewed matches of the tournament among both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 on any network regardless of language.
- 25 of the 26 tournament matches drew more Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 on Univision Deportes than Fox Sports.
- Univision Deportes delivered more than 4 times the audience size of Fox Sports competition among both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.
LOCAL HIGHLIGHTS
Regardless of language, coverage of the Mexico vs. Jamaica match was the highest rated program of the entire day:
- Among Total Viewers 2+ in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas and Phoenix
- Among Adults 18-49 in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco and Phoenix
- Among Young Adults 18-34 in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco and Phoenix

- Among Total Viewers 2+ in Los Angeles
- Among Adults 18-49 in Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, San Francisco and Phoenix
- Among Young Adults 18-34 in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas and San Francisco

- Sunday’s Mexico vs. Jamaica Gold Cup final match delivered more than 102k live streams and garnered a total of 2.3 million minutes of live video consumption.
- The majority (95%) of Mexico vs. Jamaica live streams came from the Deportes App.
