Univision Network’s “Aquí y Ahora” Delivers Highest-Rated Telecast with “Chapo Guzmán: El Más Buscado Otra Vez” in Current 2014/15 Season Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

The Special Coverage Attracts highest-ever number of visitors across Univision News’ Digital Platforms

NEW YORK– JULY 14, 2015 – Univision News’ primetime newsmagazine, “Aquí y Ahora,” delivered its highest-rated telecast in the current 2014/15 season among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 with its “Chapo Guzmán: El Más Buscado Otra Vez” special, which aired at 7 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on Sunday, July 12, 2015. The special chronicled the recent escape of the infamous Joaquín Guzmán Loera, better known as “El Chapo Guzmán” (Shorty Guzmán), and delivered 2.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 million Adults 18-49, 1.2 million Adults 25-54 and 579,000 Adults 18-34 viewers.

For the night, “Chapo Guzmán: El Más Buscado Otra Vez” ranked among the top 10 most-watched programs on all of television with Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-34, regardless of language. The special also delivered more young Adults 18-34 than the original airings of ABC’s “20/20” (+42% adv.) and NBC’s “Dateline” (+40% adv.) during the week.

Additionally, Univision News also recorded the highest-ever number of visitors across its digital platforms for a single day. “Aquí y Ahora,” also generated more social activity in terms of Twitter unique authors and Tweets than Nightly News (NBC) and 60 Minutes (CBS).
