For This Week, Univision Ranked No. 3 and No. 4, Respectively, Among Young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, Outperforming NBC in Each Demographic
Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of February 16, 2015 to February 22, 2015
In the February 2015 sweep-to-date, Univision Network has out-delivered at least one more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on all 25 nights among young Adults 18-34 and on 16 nights among Adults 18-49.
This week (M-SU), Univision ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in primetime, respectively, among young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming NBC in each demographic. Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks every night among young Adults 18-34.
“Mi Corazón es Tuyo” (My Heart is Yours) helped make Univision the No. 4 network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 in the Monday-Friday 8 p.m. time period, outperforming NBC in each demographic. The novela averaged 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.5 million Adults 18-49 and 725,000 young Adults 18-34.
Airing Monday to Friday 9 p.m. – 10 p.m., “Hasta El Fin Del Mundo” (Until the End of Time) helped make Univision the No. 3 network among Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS and NBC. The novela saw growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 3.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+6% to 1.6 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+10% to 727,000).
At 10 p.m., “Que Te Perdone Dios” (Let God Forgive You) helped make Univision the No. 2 network among Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS and NBC. The novela averaged 2.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 and 548,000 young Adults 18-34.
On a highly competitive Thursday night, Univision’s three-hour broadcast of the 27th Annual Edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro”
- Delivered an average audience of 4.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.5 million Adults 18-49, and 1.3 million Adults 18-34. Versus its 2014 edition, Premio Lo Nuestro increased +3% among Adults 18-49 and +8% among young Adults 18-34.
- Positioned Univision as the No. 2 network among young Adults 18-34 (6th consecutive year) and No. 3 among Adults 18-49 for the entire night, outperforming NBC and FOX in each demographic.
- Was the fifth most-watched program with more young Adults 18-34 than the entire original line-ups on NBC (“The Slap,” “The Blacklist” and “Allegiance”) and FOX (“American Idol” and “Backstrom”)as well as the series finale of CBS’ “Two and a Half Men” and first-run episodes of CBS’ “The Odd Couple” (series premiere) and “Elementary.”
- Delivered more Adults 18-49 than the entire original line-up on NBC (“The Slap,” “The Blacklist” and “Allegiance”) as well as first-run episodes of CBS’ “Elementary” and FOX’s “Backstrom.”
Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), Univision ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 network, respectively, on Saturday night among young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming ABC, CBS and FOX in each demographic. “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+9% to 2.0 million), young Adults 18-34 (+23% to 888,000) and Adults 18-49 (+27% to 405,000).
On Oscars Sunday, Univision ranked as the No. 2 network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming CBS, FOX and NBC in each demographic. Univision’s full primetime lineup ranked within the top 15 programs for the entire evening among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and young Adults 18-34.
- At 7 p.m., “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now) helped make Univision the No. 3 and No. 4 network, respectively, among young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming CBS in each demographic. The show saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+30% to 2.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+44% to 1.1 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+32% to 417,000).
- Airing 8 p.m. – 10:05 p.m., “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) helped make Univision the No. 2 network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming CBS, FOX and NBC in each demographic. The show saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 3.1 million), Adults 18-49 (+14% to 1.6 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+10% to 650,000).
- At 10:05pm, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) helped make Univision the No. 2 network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming CBS and NBC in each demographic. The show saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 2.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+22% to 1.3 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+37% to 526,000).
