Olek Loewenstein is President of Sports Content at Univision Communications Inc., the leading Spanish-language media and content company in the United States, where he leads all sports content operations for the USA and Mexico to solidify, maintain, and grow the company’s position in the market as “The Home of Soccer”.
An accomplished executive with wide-ranging experience across content, financial strategy, and production functions, he is responsible for all content produced by TUDN – a bi-national state of the art sports content production operation serving a broad portfolio of Univision and Televisa’s over the air and cable television channels, as well as both companies’ digital publishing and streaming platforms.
In 2019, Loewenstein spearheaded the TUDN collaboration between Univision and Grupo Televisa, creating a joint sports production hub that generates more than 4,000 hours of studio shows per year, as well as owns the largest live soccer portfolio in the industry, featuring Liga MX clubs, the Mexican men’s national soccer team, the U.S. men’s and women’s national soccer teams, the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League, the Concacaf Gold Cup, Major League Soccer, and much more.
Over a more than 20-year career, Loewenstein has been awarded multiple Emmy awards as executive producer and was recognized by Sports Business Journal as part of the “Top Forty Under 40” class of 2018. Prior to joining Univision, Loewenstein worked at Samsung’s Global Strategy Group in Seoul, South Korea, working directly with the office of the Chairman developing and overseeing strategic initiatives around the world. His career began in consulting, working at multinational companies like Ernst & Young and Accenture, where he focused on consumer relationship management strategies and organic growth initiatives.
Loewenstein holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Universidad Católica Andres Bello in Venezuela and a master’s degree in business administration from INSEAD in France and Singapore, along with a specialization certificate in media from UCLA & IESE.
