The new ViX original series is a spinoff of hit Mexican series “40 y 20” and stars Michelle Rodríguez and Armando Hernández
MIAMI – July 2, 2024 – ViX, the leading Spanish-language streaming service in the world, announced today that its new comedy ORÍLLESE A LA ORILLA, a spinoff of hit Mexican series “40 y 20,” will premiere July 12 and unveiled the official trailer and key art. The 12 episodes will be available all at once on premiere day exclusively on the service’s premium tier. In addition, the first episode will be available to sample on ViX’s free plan on July 12 while Mexican audiences will be able to enjoy it on Thursday, July 11 at 11 p.m. on las estrellas.
The new original comedy stars Michelle Rodríguez (“Mirreyes contra Godinez 2,” “Canta y no llores”) returning in the role of Toña, with special guest star Armando Hernández (“Papá o mamá,” “Senda prohibida”) as Brayan Daniel. Rounding out the cast are Luis Rodríguez “Guana” (“Cita a ciegas,” “Pacto de silencio”), Jesús Ochoa (“Quiero tu vida,” “La usurpadora”), Ana Jimena Villanueva (“El Halcón: sed de venganza,” “Donde hubo fuego”), María Elena Saldaña (“El taxista caliente,” “El sexo me da risa 4”), Mario Zaragoza (“Un buen divorcio,” “Los skywatchers”), Sofía Aragón (“La noche,” “La voz”), Archie Balardi (“Bataca,” “Esperanza de un poeta”). Gustavo Loza directs the series.
Based on hit series “40 y 20,” “ORÍLLESE A LA ORILLA” tells the history of Brayan and Toña, who, after losing their jobs, decide to enroll in the Police Academy. Once there, they get haircuts and have to work harder than they ever have to realize their dream of becoming police officers. And right when they’re about to drop out, they find out that they’re going to graduate early because of the high demand for cops on the streets. Toña and Brayan have countless adventures and get in assorted jams during their time at the Academy.
The series is a Lado B. production. Executive producers are Ricardo Coeto, Francisco Cordero, Gustavo Loza, Alfredo Marrón Santander and Rafael Martínez Flores.

La serie original de ViX es un spinoff de la exitosa serie mexicana “40 y 20” y está protagonizada por Michelle Rodríguez y Armando Hernández
MIAMI – 2 DE JULIO DE 2024 – ViX, el servicio de streaming en español líder en el mundo, anunció hoy que su nueva comedia ORÍLLESE A LA ORILLA, el spinoff de la exitosa serie mexicana “40 y 20”, se estrenará el 12 de julio y reveló el tráiler y póster oficial. Los doce episodios estarán disponibles desde el día de estreno exclusivamente en el nivel premium del servicio. Además, el primer episodio se podrá ver en el plan gratuito de ViX el 12 de julio y en México, el público podrá disfrutarlo el jueves 11 de julio, a las 11 pm, por las estrellas.
Los protagonistas de la nueva comedia original son Michelle Rodríguez (“Mirreyes contra Godinez 2”, “Canta y no llores”), que regresa en su papel de Toña, y la participación estelar de Armando Hernández (“Papá o Mamá”, “Senda Prohibida”) como Brayan Daniel.

Basada en la exitosa serie “40 y 20”, ORILLESE A LA ORILLA cuenta la historia de Brayan y Toña quienes, después de perder sus trabajos, deciden entrar a estudiar en la Academia de Policía. Ahí, les cortarán el cabello y es donde deberán esforzarse más que nunca para alcanzar su sueño de ser policías. Y en cuanto están por renunciar a él, se enterarán de que se graduarán más pronto debido a la alta demanda de oficiales en la calle. Toña y Brayan tendrán muchas aventuras y se meterán en problemas durante su tiempo en la academia.
La serie es una producción de Lado B. Ricardo Coeto, Francisco Cordero, Gustavo Loza, Alfredo Marrón Santander y Rafael Martínez Flores son los productores ejecutivos de la serie.
