MIAMI – NOVEMBER 16, 2022 — This Monday night’s finale of Univision’s star-studded telenovela and original production by TelevisaUnivision, ”Los Ricos Tambien Lloran” (The Rich Also Cry), reached 2.7 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned to all or part of the two-hour telecast from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/PT. “Los Ricos Tambien Lloran” was the No. 1 program on all of television during primetime with U.S. Hispanics among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 as well as the No. 2 program, behind ESPN’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Eagles and Commanders among U.S Hispanic Adults 18-34.
The finale of “Los Ricos Tambien Lloran”:
- Averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 678,000 Adults 18-49 and 242,000 Adults 18-34.
- Was the fourth most-watched program on all of television during primetime with more Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 viewers than the entire original primetime line-ups on CBS (“The Neighborhood,” “Bob Hearts Abishola,” “NCIS,” and “NCIS: Hawai’i”), The CW (“All American” and “All American Homecoming”) and Telemundo (“Exatlón: Edición Mundial,” “La Reina del Sur III” and “El Fuego del Destino”) as well as first-run episodes of ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” and FOX’s “The Cleaning Lady.”
- Delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+21%) and Adults 18-49 (+14%) than its premiere telecast on 09/06/2022.
- Drew in more viewers to the 9 p.m. to 11p.m. time slot versus the previous four Mondays among Total Viewers 2+ (+25%), Adults 18-49 (+26%), and Adults 18-34 (+33%) as well as versus the comparable Monday last year among Total Viewers 2+ (+14%), Adults 18-34 (+17%) and Adults 18-49 (+12%).
- Retained and increased its lead-in audience from “Vencer La Ausencia” among Total Viewers 2+ (+14%), Adults 18-49 (+8%) and Adults 18-34 (+12%).
- Positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night, outperforming Telemundo by triple-digits among Total Viewers 2+ (+101% adv.), Adults 18-34 (+106% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+134% adv.).
- In its entire run, “Los Ricos Tambien Lloran” reached 11.2 million Total Viewers 2+ and averaged 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 559,000 Adults 18-49 and 238,000 Adults 18-34. It delivered consecutive monthly audience growth with double digits in November 2022 compared to September 2022 among Total Viewers 2+ (+21%) and Adults 18-49(+19%). Additionally, “Los Ricos Tambien Lloran” ranks among the top three most-watched primetime dramas on all of television, alongside “La Herencia, Un Legado de Amor” and “Vencer La Audencia” in the current 2022/2023 season with U.S. Hispanics among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
