Written by Ariel Award-winning Spanish screenwriter Antón Goenechea and directed by Goya Award winner Roger Gual, the series will premiere new episodes each Friday

MIAMI – September 6, 2022 – “MAREA ALTA” (High Tide), the first ViX+ Original young adult thriller, will premiere on September 9 with new episodes dropping every Friday. Produced, written, and directed by a team of award-winning creators, including Ariel Award-winning Spanish screenwriter Antón Goenechea (“Luis Miguel, La Serie,” “Perdida”); Spanish Goya Award-winning director Roger Gual (“Las Chicas del Cable”); and renowned directors Gabriel Mariño (“Un Mundo Secreto”) and Michelle Garza (“Huesera”). The cast features Cassandra Ciangherotti (“Las Horas Contigo”), Raúl Méndez (“Paramédicos,” “Sense 8,” “Narcos”), Antonio López (“Narcos México,” “El Último Rey,” “El Señor de los Cielos”), Susana Zabaleta, Fermín Martínez and Gustavo Sánchez Parra. The ViX+ series also showcases new, fresh faces on the screen who bring the characters to life, including Giovanna Utrilla, Matías Gruener, Alejandro Porter, Alejandro Flores, Leidi Gutiérrez, and Jesica Vite.

The disappearance of Mia, a young cyber activist, dedicated to denouncing the injustices around her, will shake the uneventful city of Ensenada to its foundation. Overseeing the case is the enigmatic new detective who suspects that any of the people surrounding Mia might have had motives to get rid of her. Meanwhile, Pau, Mia’s best friend, will dive into the deepest sewers of the city along with Greg, David, Beto, and Cruz to find answers about her friend’s disappearance.
Founded by Pablo Cruz, El Estudio produced “Marea Alta” for ViX+. The series script was also written by Gerardo Lechuga and Natalia Bermúdez.

El Primer Thriller Juvenil Original de ViX+ se estrenará el 9 de septiembre

MIAMI – 6 de septiembre de 2022– “MAREA ALTA”, una producción original de ViX+ y su primer thriller juvenil, se estrenará el 9 de septiembre y presentará nuevos episodios todos los viernes. La produjo, escribió y dirigió un grupo de galardonados creadores, entre ellos, el guionista español Antón Goenechea (“Luis Miguel, la serie”, “Perdida”), ganador de premio Ariel el director español Roger Gual (“Las chicas del cable”), ganador del premio Goya; y los reconocidos directores Gabriel Mariño (“Un mundo secreto”) y Michelle Garza (“Huesera”). El elenco cuenta con Cassandra Ciangherotti (“Las horas contigo”), Raúl Méndez (“Paramédicos”, “Sense 8”, “Narcos”), Antonio López (“Narcos México”, “El último rey”, “El señor de los cielos”), Susana Zabaleta, Fermín Martínez y Gustavo Sánchez Parra. La serie de ViX+ también presenta a jóvenes actores dándole vida a distintos personajes, entre ellos Giovanna Utrilla, Matías Gruener, Alejandro Porter, Alejandro Flores, Leidi Gutiérrez y Jesica Vite.

La desaparición de Mía, una joven activista en internet que se dedica a denunciar las injusticias que ocurren a su alrededor, estremecerá a la tranquila ciudad de Ensenada. La nueva detective que investiga el caso es un personaje enigmático que sospecha que cualquiera de los que rodean a Mía tenían motivos para deshacerse de ella. Mientras tanto, Pau, la mejor amiga de Mía se adentrará en los rincones más sucios de la ciudad junto con Greg, David, Beto y Cruz para encontrar las respuestas a la desaparición de su amiga.
El Estudio, fundado por Pablo Cruz, produjo “Marea Alta” para ViX+. Gerardo Lechuga y Natalia Bermúdez también escribieron el guion de la serie.
